NAF Recruitment: Commonly Instructions 2020/2021
All Nigerians who are fit and proper persons are eligible to apply for the various positions. This means that those people that are disabled, are ineligible and will not be accepted.
1. Nationality: to be eligible to apply, you must be a Nigerian by birth.
2. Age: the age limit is between 18 and 25 years old but for non-tradesmen/women the age limit is between 18–22 years old. However, those applying for assistant imams or chaplains as well as drivers should be between 18 and 28 years old.
3. Marital status: all applicants must be single as a basic requirement. The reason behind this is to enable you to have focus on your job.
4. Height: the minimum height required is 1.66 meters or 5.4ft for males and 1.63 meters or 5,3ft for females.
5. Medical fitness: the NAF only recruits applicants who are physically fit and cannot compromise on this standard requirement.
Other requirements are as follows:
· Important documents such as Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age is expected to have been obtained 4 years before your application.
· You will be required to tender all your academic certificates.
· State of Origin certificate (Indigeneship certificate) must be obtained from your state as evidence that you are from the state.
· Writing Materials (for aptitude test)
· Educational/Trade Certificates may be required for some categories.
· Attestation of Local Government Area Form is needed.

NAF Recruitment Academic/Professional Requirements:
1. Non-Tradesmen/women: Those who want to apply as a Non-Tradesman or woman, here are the educational requirement you are likely to meet.
All applicants must meet the minimum of 5 credits including English Language and Mathematics in NECO/SSCE/NABTEB, including the school’s testimonials.
2. Tradesmen/women: all aspiring Tradesmen/women applicants must possess at least the below:
a. Applicants should have ND (with not less than Lower Credit), NABTEB, RN/RM/NCE, or City & Guild Certificate.
b. Candidates with only Trade Test Certificate (including Drivers) should also possess a minimum of 2 passes in GCE/SSCE/NECO including English Language.

NIGERIAN AIR FORCE RECRUITMENT 2020/2021
The Nigerian Air Force was established 55 years ago with Germany giving it technical assistance on April 18, 1964. It was formally established as an organ of the Nigerian armed forces as a result of the passage of the 1964 Air Force act. The motto then was “Willing… Able, Ready,” the Nigeria Air Force is seen as the largest in Africa as it boasts of over 10,000 commissioned and non-commissioned personnel.
The Nigerian Air Force has numerous aircraft including 12 Chinese ChengduF-7s, armed helicopters, military transport aircraft 12 Embraer EMB 314 Super Tucano, and 11 Dassault-Dornier Alpha Jets. The Nigerian Air Force has its headquarters in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, and is headed by a Commander-in-Chief and the Chief of the Air Staff, President Muhammadu Buhari, and Air Mashal Sadique Abubakar respectively.
Which functions do the Nigerian Air Force perform?
As a tactical Air Force, the Nigerian Air Force performs the following functions:

The functions of the NAF as enshrined in its constitutions include the following;
To train and provide forces for special operations.
To provide forces for air mobility.
To defend the Nigerian Air space.
To execute air combat operations.
To defend Nigeria where there is an air attack.
To mobilize forces for Joint Air Transport Operations.
To deploy equipment for electronic war operations.
To Train and provide forces for Aerial Photography.
To train and provide forces for flight refueling.
To provide in coordination with the procedure in Air Force operations.
To coordinate with other forces to defend the Airspace.
What is the strength of the Nigerian Air Force?
The strength of the Nigerian Air Force lies in the number of personnel and aircraft. The current number of personnel stands at 18,500, comprising of 15,900 Airmen and Airwomen, including 2,600 officers.
The primary role of the Nigerian Air Force:
Following the Act of parliament of 1962 for the establishment of the NAF and recruitment of personnel, the NAF has four roles which are statutorily backed by the 1964 Act of Parliament. These primary roles include;
1. To complement the military defense system of the Federal Republic of Nigeria both in the air and on the ground.
2. To ensure the adaptable mobility of the Armed Forces.
3. To provide for the country the strategic prestige that is invaluable in international affairs.
4. To provide combat support for the ground-based and seaborne operations and to ensure the territorial integrity of a united Nigeria is preserved.
Consequent upon the Federal Government promulgated Decree 105 (Armed Forces Amendment Decree) in 1994 following the Nigerian Air Force expansion program; additional roles of the NAF were added. These additional roles include;
5. Assisting in coordinating and enforcing the enforcement of international law, conventions, practices, and customs ascribed and acceded to by Nigeria relating to space activities in the Nigerian Airspace.
6. Coordinating and enforcing all national and international air laws acceded or ascribed to by Nigeria.
7. Defining, determining, and coordinating all serial surveys and security zones of the Nigerian airspace.
